Graham Kennedy - Biography
For
most of his adult life, Graham has been involved in the study and practise
of a number of different mind-body disciplines. These included shiatsu
massage, internal and external martial arts, natural healthcare methodologies
and a number of meditative and self-developmental processes.
He now specialises in the resolution of early traumatic experiences that
have their origins in the prenatal period, the birth process and during
the vital first few years of childhood when the infant/child is developing
its attachment with its parents.
His commitment to working to help resolve early life issues is due to
his understanding that this period of time sets a template for our physical,
emotional and psychological health, and that if we make changes here it
can have profound effects in all aspects of our life.
Graham has completed training in Prenatal and Birth Trauma Resolution
under Dr. Raymond Castellino of Santa Barbara California, Corrective Attachment
Therapy and Corrective Attachment Parenting under Dr. Terry Levy and Michael
Orlans of the Evergreen Psychotherapy Centre, Evergreen Colorado, and
Working with Severe Attachment Disorders with the Post-Adoption Centre,
London. He is currently deepening his understanding of the Prenatal and
Birth paradigm as a student of Karlton Terry of Denver, Colorado.
Graham is also a senior practitioner and teacher of Craniosacral Therapy,
as well as a supervisor with the Craniosacral Therapy Association (CSTA).
He has been involved in teaching Craniosacral Therapy since 1994. He is
a co-founder and joint principal of the Institute of Craniosacral Studies,
which runs two-year professional training courses. He is also a faculty
member at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, where
he is the module leader for teaching anatomy to acupuncture students.
